A Prayer For Our Missionary Partners

Heavenly Father – thank you for your willingness to listen to our prayers.  We praise you for your on-going love and mercy – but especially for our Saviour’s sacrifice at Calvary.  

You encourage us to pray to you continuously – about all matters – and so just now we want to ask you to protect and encourage all our Missionary Partners.  We ask you to bless each family and organisation concerned.  Guide and direct them in everything they do – give them opportunities to proclaim the Gospel – and help them with language and any cultural barriers they may encounter. Keep them safe we pray – from danger and illness – and help them to demonstrate the fruits of the spirit in their lives and work.  We pray for spiritual and physical strength – and for emotional and spiritual resilience – especially in times of loneliness or homesickness.  We pray for family members at home or elsewhere.  Encourage them we pray.

We are conscious of our obligations and responsibilities in terms of praying, supporting and involvement in the work of Mission.  Help us to remember your Great Commission and its significance in the work of the Church.

Thank you, Lord for giving us this opportunity to pray for our Missionaries and for the work of Mission.
