Events and Opportunities not part of the Church

Janey Petterson who is a Foundation Governor at Leafield School has advised us of vacancies on their Board of Governors for the school. This would be a great opportunity for anyone living in or near the Leafield Area. Details below:

Leafield Primary School has some vacancies for both foundation and community governors. The function of the board is to act strategically for the school and its future, hold leaders to account, and provide financial probity. As a community governors you would be required to attend between 6 and 10 meetings per year and you will be provided with excellent free training to support your role. Meetings can be attended in person or via remote access, you would be mentored by an experienced governor, and encouraged to carry out visits to the school with a focus/specific role to be determined. Foundation governors fulfil all of the expected roles of a community governor but also play a particular part in maintaining the religious character and ethos of the school.
Leafield CE Primary School has recently been judged Effective in a SIAMS inspection and the school and governors are committed to building on this positive report.

This is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen existing skills, support your local community, and invest in the future of the pupils at the school. If you would like more information please email
