We are delighted to announce that Rev Tom Putt has now been Instituted as Vicar of the Burford Benefice.
Tom is married to Anna, and they have three children Ellie (9), Sam (6) & Abbie (2), plus Clemmie, their Labrador, whom they enjoy taking for a walk.
Tom trained at Oak Hill and was a Curate in Kirk Ella & Willerby, two villages just outside Hull. Tom has been involved in the Children’s Ministry at the Keswick Convention for 20 years and has led it for 12. Tom and Anna met at Keswick and she is a Trustee of Keswick Ministries. Anna was a School teacher before they had the children and has had lots of involvement with all the churches they have been a part of.
Tom says: “Anna and I are thrilled to be coming to share in the partnership of the gospel with you! Throughout the discernment process, and in particular the interview days, we were bowled over by the love, care and support we received. We were encouraged by the warmth of Christian faith expressed in deep prayerfulness and the desire to reach each community for Jesus Christ.”
Tom, Anna and the family moved into the Vicarage in June. Tom’s Institution, Induction and Installation was held on Tuesday 9th July 2019.
We look forward to what the Lord will do in the coming years as we continue to serve him here.
