Taynton
Welcome to St. John the Evangelist, Taynton.
This church dates from about 1450, but many of the architectural features are surprisingly reminscient of the earlier Decorated style. The church contains a wonderful collection of sculptured heads, the work of 15th century stone masons.

Location
From Burford carry on down the high street over the bridge. First exit at the mini roundabout (A424 towards Stow). Then first left to Taynton. You will reach the village after a mile and for the church take the first left in the village. (See an aerial perspective)

Does God Exist? Yes, No, Probably? The Alpha Course starts on 28th September with an introductory talk 'Christianity: boring, untrue and irrelevant?' and supper. Followed by an 8 week course until 30th November. Contact the Church Office for further details on 01993 823788.
There will be a Prayer Vigil in St John the Baptist, Burford on Wednesday, 22nd September 7.45pm until 12 midnight. Come and join us for part or all the time. Particular focus will be on the Warwick Hall Developement and Alpha.
