Cotswold Men's Convention: The Battle for the Heart
It has been a busy year with much cause for thanks. A weekend of teaching and fellowship in the Cotswolds in the Spring of 2016 was a notable and enjoyable event. The Autumn Cotswold Men’s Convention with Rico Tice was a particular highlight and an opportunity to join with other churches in the North Cotswolds Gospel Partnership. December saw the launch of the monthly Saturday morning Men’s Breakfasts which have been well attended and have followed a series of talks on “Men Jesus Met”. An Invitation Breakfast was an opportunity to share the Gospel with men for whom it was fresh good news. Smaller groups of men are meeting to pray together and study the bible to encourage and strengthen one another in the Faith.
A 2017 activity programme including a Summer BBQ, trips to the Rugby, Clay-pigeon shooting and local walks has been planned to add interest and variety. A termly prayer meeting is also in place to seek the Lord’s blessing on our endeavours. We very much look forward to the year ahead.

Vaughan Roberts, from St Ebbe’s Church Oxford, will be speaking on “the battle for the heart” based on Psalm 27, John 4 and Romans 7:6. The format will be very much like last year, consisting of three talks with time for prayer and sung worship – and of course plenty of time to meet with like-minded men from across the Cotswolds. Tickets are available now and we expect to sell out this year, so do book now whilst it's on your mind.
