Our Life

Welcome to Burford Church! We are a Bible-teaching, Church of England church that proclaims Jesus Christ to our town and the surrounding villages. We hope that you will come and join us at our Sunday services or midweek activities. Whether you are already a Christian, or simply want to find out more about Christianity, we hope you will find something that suits you. We seek to provide a range of services, activities and Christian teaching for all ages and stages of life. We provide a wide variety of styles of worship in our services and events. Our Heritage

The magnificent church of St. John the Baptist, Burford, of almost cathedral-like proportions was built from around 1175 and is described in Simon Jenkins' book "England's Thousand Best Churches" as the "queen of Oxfordshire, a paragon and museum of the English Parish Church".
